Angul, Apr 5: Union Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday visited Bhairabi Temple at Purunagarh under Angul district's Athamallik assembly constituency and took blessings of the deity.
Large numbers of BJP workers and supporters greeted him on his arrival in the village. While Pradhan has been fielded as a candidate for the Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat for the ensuing elections, his visit to Athamallik, one of seven assembly segments under the LS seat, encouraged party workers and the people.
The Union Minister paid obeisance to Maa Bhairabi and tributes to freedom fighters at the Saheed Stambha. He then visited the Madan Mohan temple and offered prayers there.
The Union Minister is scheduled to attend a party meeting at Katada at 11 pm.
