Bhubaneswar, July 29: Odisha Vigilance has conducted a raid here Monday on the house of Rama Chandra Mishra, Joint Commissioner, Excise Department.
The raid has been conducted reportedly on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Mishra.
The state vigilance has also conducted raids in 20 places including Sonepur and Balangir.
A Vigilance release states that simultaneous house searches are being conducted by 10 DSPs, 15 inspectors and other support staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance. The raids are underway at multiple locations belong to Mishra, in the Capital City, Sonepur, Balangir and other places across the state, including his office.
Vigilance has also identified a plot of Mishra in Dharma Vihar near Khandagiri Chowk.
