Bolangir, May 22: Additional District Sessions Judge Himanshu Sekhar Mallick on Monday awarded 10 years of imprisonment to a man for raping a physically handicapped girl of his village in 2015.
The convict has been identified as Rabi Hans of Dumerapada village under Bongomunda police station limits in Bolangir district.
Taking versions of witnesses and investigation documents, the court convicted Rabi and pronounced the punishments.
Besides awarding a 10-year jail term, the court has also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on him.
