Bhubaneswar, Jun 9: Hours after Dropping Higher Education Minister Rohit Pujari, the Odisha Government transferred Higher Education Secretary Bishnupada Sethi.
According to a notification issued by General Administration and Public Grievance Department, 1995-batch IAS officer Bishnupada Sethi, Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department with an additional charge of Chairman, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd, has been appointed as officer on special duty of General Administration and Public Grievance Department.
1996-batch officer Vishal Kumar Dev, Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Chairman, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd.
"The additional appointment of Bishnupada Sethi as Chairman, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. shall stand terminated from the date Vishal Kumar Dev takes over," stated the notification.
Besides, Aravind Agrawal, Director, Social Welfare, Women & Child Development Department with additional Charge of Managing Director, Mahila Vikas Samabaya Nigam and Director, Rural Development has been appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department.
He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Director, Rural Development.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dropped Higher Education Minister Rohit Pujari from the council of ministers. The Chief Minister has recommended Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal to drop Pujari from the ministry, sources said.
