People Go ‘Nano Banana’: Social Media's Another Swing

 Highlights

Google Gemini’s “Nano Banana” trend lets users turn photos into hyper-realistic 3D figurines.

The process is simple, free, and requires no technical skills—just a photo and a prompt.

Celebrities and fans alike are sharing their miniature creations, fueling the trend’s viral rise.

Bhubaneswar, Sep 13: AI's increasing evolution is evident in each of its upcoming updates that are surfacing these days. Similar to ChatGPT's Studio Ghibli art trend, recently Google Gemini's "Nano Banana" trend has captured a wide attention of social media users.

This is a fun trend that allows users to create hyper-realistic 3D figurines using their own photos. People are seen following this trend by creating these miniature figurines of themselves, their favourite celebrities, and even their pets.

This has gained popularity in no time due to its simplicity, accessibility, and visually attractive results. Users just need to install the Google Gemini app, upload a photo, and use a short text prompt that has already been provided by Gemini. As the above process requires no technical skills, people find it exciting to get a view of their miniature lifelike figurines.

In the AI-generated picture, we can see lifelike figurines placed in realistic settings, complete with transparent acrylic bases and detailed packaging imitations, similar to commercial collectible figures.

To join the trend, users can follow the following steps and generate their miniatures

Step 1: Open Google Gemini (or Google AI Studio).

Step 2: Upload any photo you'd like to transform.

Step 3: Copy and paste this prompt exactly as given below:

"Create a 1/7 scale commercialised figurine of the characters in the picture, in a realistic style, in a real environment. The figurine is placed on a computer desk. The figurine has a round transparent acrylic base with no text on the base. The content on the computer screen is a 3D modelling process of this figurine. Next to the computer screen is a toy packaging box, designed in a style reminiscent of high-quality collectible figures, printed with original artwork. The packaging features two-dimensional flat illustrations."

Step 4: Click Generate and wait a few seconds for your 3D figurine image to appear.

Step 5: Review the results, and if it needs more change, retry your prompt or use a different photo for a new creation.

According to Google, this feature is completely free and is available to all users via the Gemini app. "Image creation and editing is free for everyone in the Gemini app," the X handle of the app wrote.

Many celebrities like Neha Kakkar, Sonam Bajwa, Shubman Gill, Rakesh Roshan, and others have also joined the viral trend, sharing their creative transformations on social media.
